The Basics

If you have experience making sample packs and Ableton Live project templates, or already have some that you want to sell, you  can apply to be a vendor and sell your packs and templates on our site.

Once you have been accepted as a vendor, Studio Slave will promote your products through our networks & marketing campaigns, then pay you directly at the end of each month.

For full details, navigate through the tabs below then sign up at the bottom of this page and we will be in touch.

To keep things simple, we have put together this short video as a guide for new vendors.

Who can sell products on Studio Slave?

Everybody is welcome. We listen to all submissions to ensure that only high-quality products are sold on Studio Slave. If your products are not yet ready to be sold on the website we will give you honest and constructive feedback.

Why should I upload content to Studio Slave?

Studio Slave is an online learning platform that is growing exponentially. Our site generates a lot of traffic from blogs and tutorials as well as our sample, eBook and template libraries. We also reinvest a portion of our earnings back into promotion of our new products and marketing.

When and how do I get paid?

We pay every month via Paypal.

How many sales can I expect?

This totally depends on your creative output – quality and originality is the key. The better the content, the easier it is for us to promote to our audience. Many of our producers earn a substantial amount from their work each month.

What is my share of the sales?

The basic rate is set at 50%. This is open to negotiation for successful producers after a probationary period of 6 months. After hosting fees, a portion of the sales is re-invested into promoting your content.

How can I track sales?

Once you are set up as a vendor you will be given access to your own private sellers dashboard. This is where you can see your monthly sales, analytics and scheduled payments.

How do I upload templates, samples or sounds?

You can upload new products and information from the vendor dashboard. Please ensure all information and files are present to stop any delays in the upload process.

What type of product can I upload?

Our main products are templates and sample packs. Please contact us if you intend to sell Video Courses or any other products.

Can I Upload Other Peoples Work?

Uploading someone else’s work is infringing their copyright.
Never upload any work that you do not own the rights to. Many sample packs are “royalty free” which means then can be used in projects and compositions. However you cannot sell on someone elses sample pack.If you are working with a vocalist then ensure to clear the use of the acapella with them first.
Do not upload any acapellas or vocals that you do not own or have the rights to. Studio Slave will not be held responsible for providers uploading copyright infringing material.

As a Studio Slave vendor, you will benefit from having your products included in Studio Slaves promotion & marketing campaigns, such as:

What Is Allowed

  • Deconstruct and learn arrangement, structure, sound processing & automation
  • Practice in mixing and mastering
  • Practice in composition, arrangement, etc
  • Use samples, presets, processing racks from templates for your own commercial productions
  • Play at the club/festival/party
  • Use in a live theatrical performance

You can use template-based music for commercial purposes if you changed/modified all the main melodies. That’s our minimum requirement. You can keep drum samples, drum patterns, track structure, effects, synth presets, processing, etc.

If you changed all the main melodies then you can:

  • Use templates as a starting point for your own commercial productions
  • Release on a record label, iTunes, Spotify, YouTube, etc
  • Use for TV, web or radio advertisement
  • Use in videos, films, trailers, apps, games, or other multimedia
  • Use as part of a product available for purchase in a store or online

However, we recommend you to make deeper template edition (change synth presets, some drum samples, effects) if you’re going to release template – based tracks on a record label.

What Is Not Allowed
  • Re-sell or share the project (modified or not) or any samples/presets from the project
  • Claim exclusive ownership or authorship of the track without modifying original melodies
  • Use for creating sample libraries and royalty-free music
